Over the years, I love being able to write a letter to my daughter on her birthday. It’s been a great way to look back and see her accomplishments, achievements and overall personality comes to life! Feel free to check out past posts at the bottom of this one.
My big SIX year old,
I think every year I stair at disbelieve on the number that keeps growing. Weren’t you just a little peanut the other day and now you’re in Kindergarten, making new friends and holding it all on your own?
What A Year!
This year was a big one! We had you in speech for over a year and a half and you worked so hard! I couldn’t have been happier that so many people could now understand you and it was also a big learning curve for myself on how to help you the right way to pronounce those difficult ‘th’ words.
our biggest transition this year as going from Pre-K, graduating with so many of your friends and entering Kindergarten. So far, you’ve made even more friends ( shocking for this social butterfly ), have loved Math and enjoy playing soccer. We’re working on listening, which I know can be a struggle since you have a strong opinion about many things but you’re creativity is off the charts! You love to draw, create and story tell some incredible story which I adore!
You are one of the most patient sisters I’ve ever seen. It’s so nice to see you always talk to Landon as if he’s your little student ( hello future teacher in the making ) and assist him with anything he needs. You love chasing him, cuddling next to him to read a book or building a fort together. I love the bond that you two are showing increasing every day.
Speaking of teaching, I think that will be your new career. Our playroom has now turned into a Miss Lily’s Classroom filled with all the teacher supplies you need! It’s so fun to watch your imagination come to life when working with your ‘students’, the classroom management you have and how you love acting it all out without a care in the world. Go get ’em little teacher!
I love seeing how excited you are to go to school, to be with your friends and working hard to just do your best. You’re still always on the go, have so much energy to burn even after a full day’s work and enjoy helping me cook in the kitchen. Those baking shows must be paying off because you’re critiquing everything I serve you now.
Every year gets me excited for what’s to come but I’m thinking your sixth year will be one to remember! Buckle up my little lady! It’s going to be one incredible ride together!
