Growing up, my parents always taught me about doing good deeds for others. Not everyone has what you have but you can make their day by doing the smallest of things. You can smile at someone whose having a bad day, donate to a welcoming cause ( my favorites are Make A Wish, Children’s Miracle Network and March of Dimes ) make a card for someone who just had a baby or purchase a drink for the lady whose running late behind you in the Starbucks line. Whatever your preference, sharing a good deed doesn’t have to be a chore, but should be a lifestyle. Your good deeds are what you can leave behind for strangers and can be your best kept secret to improving other’s lives.
Because Kimberly give so much of her time to her family and friends, I wanted to do something for her. I gifted her, her own bracelet to also use for good deeds. Every act of a good deed is recorded within your bracelet. When you perform your good deed such as gifting toys or clothes to the homeless, sending flowers to a neighbor or volunteering at a soup kitchen, you move the ring one bead closer towards the “1GD” button until your 100 Good Deeds are complete. It’s a daily reminder to continue to pay it forward as often as we can.
