The last few weeks [ week 1, week 2 and week 3 ] have been challenging but also more than anything, extremely rewarding. As someone who’s a pretty motivated individual, I love the idea of looking at my eating, exercise, and overall habits to see how I can better myself not just now but as a true lifestyle change.
Reading “Always Eat After 7pm” was a great way to bring awareness to myself and my family members on the importance of having a healthy diet but not so focused on the timing of it all. While I used to have a pretty negative attitude towards the word ‘diet’ this book really helped shape the way I view it now.
Joel shared that following this plan is not difficult which is why he wrote the book in the first place. “While any diet is never truly easy, it can be more enjoyable and much easier to adhere to when you understand how Always Eat After 7pm works because it caters to our bodies natural instincts.” I couldn’t agree more with this statement while working through the book myself.
The biggest takeaway from reading this novel were all the myths that he shared that just are not supported by science no matter how many times we’ve heard it as a child and into our adulthood. Carbohydrates are something that you can eat, even after 7pm and still loose weight and there are several facts to prove that theory. I also appreciate the importance of skipping breakfast, since it’s not something I’m naturally gravitated towards in my life and can feel ok eating when my stomach is actually wanting food and not forcing it too.
The most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry. This also puts you into both intermittent fasting increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while putting you into ketosis!
