June Goals

Happy Friday babes! Oh my gosh and today is June 1st! Woohoo! I actually am super excited for this weekend because after a quick visit to check on Landon's allergies ( I'll share more on that on my Stories  so stay tuned ) I'm off to drive to Missouri for a girls weekend with my Sister-In-Laws and friends!

Since it's a new month, I have a few goals to get accomplished this month and thought I'd share them with you all. I've done a few over the last few months and it always keep me on track to getting this accomplish since the summer always seems to fly by in a flash and I always wish I  would have done more! So here are some goals we have as a family and me personally!

Family Goals :

Visit Downtown Chicago With Our Family - Lily doesn't remember living in the Chicago area when she was about one and a half and Landon has never been downtown before so we'd like to be able to take a day and show them the big city! It's a quick train ride ( which is always such a blast as a kid ) or we could drive down!

Have A Picnic - I love eating outside when it's nice out ( especially before it gets extremely hot ) so we want to enjoy a few picnics together.

Be More Present - You may have heard that we only really get 18 summers with our kids which really makes you think how you want to spend each day with them until they leave for college or head off into the world. I'm enjoying the little things with my little ones which means putting the phone away for a few hours, laughing and being there for my kids.


Personal Goals: 
Start A Work Out Program - I recently began the BBG workout and you all weren't kidding when it's extremely intense. I've only started it about twice a week and have already NOT been able to get through an entire work out. I know it'll take time so slow and steady I go ladies!

Listen/Read More Novels: You all know my love of Podcasts runs deep and as much as I love listening them I want to start listening and/or reading more novels too. Who has some great books you're freaking out over for the summer?!

Blog Goals: 
Schedule Out Posts: There are days I'm extremely busy and feel as if I don't have any time to post on social media. I'm trying to plan out on Sunday to spend a few hours scheduling out posts, quotes and more to share with you all! I love HootSuit as a great tool. Any other recommendations?

Performance Goals - Learning more about planning S.M.A.R.T rules and adapting it to my blog.  I also want to make sure I'm engaging enough with you all- making sure that I'm putting out content that you all are enjoying and keep coming back for!

  3. Good luck on your goals! Starting a new workout plan is hard! When I started my burn boot camp I was dying after every workout but I kept with it and I still die a few times but not every workout!

  4. I'm just starting BBG too! I did it for about a month and then took about a month off, and now I'm getting back into it...the workouts are definitely intense, but I noticed that as I got more in shape it started to become more of a habit and less of a chore!

  7. Good luck on all of your goals! I'd really like to have a picnic or two this summer. I think it would be fun. I also need to keep up with scheduling ahead on the blog. For scheduling social media, I really like Buffer.

  8. When we lived in IL, we enjoyed taking the train into Chicago as well. And I'm with you - I definitely want to work on scheduling/planning ahead posts, especially on Instagram.

  9. Good luck with all you want to achieve, girl! I started a workout program two months ago and trust me when I say: it's worth it! Same goes for scheduling, Hootsuite and Tailwind have saved me on so many occasions, I can't even count haha. Definitely make sure you have a picnic, and think of me when you do because I'm currently stuck in miserable Winter over here. x

  10. Hey girl!!! I love your idea of being more present!! I've been working so hard to do that, especially in my marriage and with my family. It can be so hard with technology. Turning my phone off at night has worked wonders.
